Page 6†¦show more content†¦I have worked for Mayplas/SIG since 1987, and whilst I became a manager in the early 1990’s, it is only in the last couple of years that have I have received any particular support or shared knowledge and assistance and more importantly any external interest being shown in me becoming a better manager. I therefore see this course as a great opportunity for me to grow as a person, manager and leader whilst also providing a collaborative platform on which my colleagues and reports can all contribute to the overarching SIG framework requirements. Following the two days on module two, I am now better positioned to develop my own managerial and leadership capabilities, and using differing theories and concepts, I will be able to personally identify what essential characteristics and behavioral traits are necessary to make me an effective leader in the future.
